Ask a computer technician or just buy some more memory cards and put it in to your CPU (computer for beginners). I tried deleting some things, but it doesn't work.
there are 2 ways to fix this problem 1: upgrade ur ram...... 2: um thats it really never mind just 1 way
Virtual memory is stored on your hard drive so free up a wack of space then defrag your drive that might work
You are running to many programs at once. Kill a few running applications you do not need or upgrade your ram to at least 1 GB.

I'm basing this answer on XP Home, but Pro may be similar.
If you follow Start---%26gt;Control Panel---%26gt;System and click on the Advanced tab and then choose Settings under Performance, you might be able to make changes for better performance.
I used to use a version of Norton Utilities, and I wonder if there are tweaks that it and other utility suites can make that improve performance.
Good luck.
OK This happened to me like 6 times. 1.Here's how it actually helped. Get rid of some usless stuff if you have any. 2. Go to start, then go to accesories, then go to system tools, click on disk defragmenter, activate that and it will help imvrove your computers effieciency. 3. Adding RAM(Random Access Memory) will also help. 4. I also got this when i had alot of space left on my computer so that means that if you play a game or use a program for too long and it takes up alot of RAM it starts to store stuff on it temporarily so give your computer a rest too. Oh and so you know I'm telling the truth this is how it tells you your memory is low, it minimizes your program and it tells you on the task bar( the bar where your clock is).
you can increase your virtua; memory by going to the CMOS setup before booting up by pressing del key. but before that you must check any unwanted programms are harming your coputer. Install anti viruses and anty spywares
go to add remove programs in control panel if you see useless programs delete them, also if you've downloaded thos super neato emoticons or screen magic thingys get rid of them there a waste of cpu time.
windows xp pro runs on 256 MB of memory...slow but it runs...your problem has nothing to do with the free space on the hard drive...you must increase the size of the swap file and that's it.
Right click on my computer icon on desktop or wherever u have it go to properties, in system properties click on advanced tab, click settings tab in performance box and click on advanced tab again,in the virtual mem box click change u can allocate more virtual mem there. not too much just a 100 or so.
