What is the difference between Windows XP Professional and Windows XP Home Edition?

Okay, I do own Xp Professional. Its a network machine with administrator options. Simply put, this is the version that the boss would use. It has more memory and can change an entire network from user accounts in Control Panel. When it comes to tech support, it is easier for them to set up. You can do all that scary stuff the boss does. The extra memory is for Word Perfect and accounting programs. It has power.

About $100.00. Not to be flip, but you just pay for bells and whistles. Do a search and MS will tell you.

The biggest discrepancy is that Home edition cannot join a domain; not an issue with most home networks.
i can think of one...remote desktop...its a service to access another computer on "your" network and work through another computer..but if you want all the nitty gritty....microsoft.com can give u exactly the difference amongst the two....which im sure you knew ...and hope that helps...
Well, Windows XP Professional has Professional attached to the end of it. And Windows XP Home Edition has Home Edition attached to the end of it. Or you could say, one is for Windows in the office/commercial use and the purpose for the other could be that it is strictly for home use. ???? I'm not sure. =) I just thought that this would be funny. I hope someone chuckles a little bit.
